Killers. That’s what they call us. Mortals can’t think of anything else to call our kind, but the term that we find fit. . . Demons. We are the devil’s children, as legends say. I don’t even know who I am, all I know is that I was sent to the Mortal world by those wretched aqrabuamelu. I have committed crimes in the underworlds, and now those beasts have sentenced my punishment. I am to become a Guardian. I am not the only one; thousands have been sent to earth to bear the same punishment as mine.
We are alone in the Mortal world, though we retain our powers and strengths. Most of us are dragons, shifted into the form of a human. Others are those shape shifters, though they do not serve the same purpose. My destiny if to kill, to destroy, but now I’m being forced to protect the ones I hate. Humans.
We are now not only Demons, we are now Depraved Guardians.
